Job Description:
The Patient Financial Service Specialist will be responsible for credentialing and recredentialing of healthcare providers and facilities. In addition, assist the PFS department with other areas including but not limited to pulling data for reports, BD recovery, system maintenance, vendor AR validation, and assists the PFS manager as needed.










Job Requirements:
Professional/Educational
High School diploma or equivalent required.

Strong computer skills and problem solving.

Knowledge of overall patient access/financial services process including: registration, charging, billing, payments and adjustments, bad debt write-off, managed care contracts.

Personal
Strong interpersonal skills.

Demonstrates ability to exercise independent judgement in time of need.

Ability to recognize, establish and deal with priorities.

Previous experience with report writing, word and excel preferred.

Knowledge of the State's data submission requirements for IHCCCC and Compdata preferred.
